Gros Morne National Park
Gros Morne National Park of Canada was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987, is an area of great natural beauty with a rich variety of scenery, widlife, and recreational activities. Visitors can hike through wild, uninhabited mountains and camp by the sea. Boat tours bring visitors under the towering cliffs of a freshwater fjord carved out by glaciers. Waterfalls, marine inlets, sea stacks, sandy beaches, and colourful nearby fishing villages complete the phenomenal natural and cultural surroundings of Gros Morne National Park of Canada.
Humber Valley Resort
This new, four season, international development is located on the north side of the Humber River and Deer Lake in western Newfoundland, Canada. The current development features 321 freehold privately owned vacation properties, consisting of minimum 2,100 square-foot, three-bedroom luxury chalets.
To date, 60 chalets are complete with another 80 under construction in 2004. Each chalet is strategically hidden in the forest either abutting the 18-hole championship golf course or cresting a magnificent view. The central club-house and beach restaurant will be opened at Christmas 2004.
The Resort's natural playground offers a four-season experience ranging from skiing, snowmobiling, canoeing, angling, hiking, golfing or simply enjoying the breathtaking surroundings. From the crisp, clean winter air to the vibrant fall colors, each season brings its own charm.
Humber Valley Resort is the 2003 Bentley International Homes 5 star "Best Canadian Resort" and the "Best International Resort" recipient, chosen from over 250 resorts worldwide.
Marble Mountain
It's been called the best skiing east of the Rockies and anyone who has skied Marble Mountain knows why.
The resort lies in a snow belt and gets an average annual snowfall of 16 feet. Marble Mountain is part of the foothills of the Appalachian Mountain Range, stretching up from Georgia in the Southern United States. The summit of Marble Mountain is 1,700 feet above the Humber River which cuts a winding path through the majestic Humber Valley to the Bay of Islands.
Snowboarding
All terrain at Marble Mountain is open to snowboarders, but we also have a fantastic terrain park and half-pipe. The half-pipe opens early in the season and is lit on Friday nights so you can rip it up under the stars.
The Lodge
Our magnificent post and beam lodge was designed to reflect the natural, rugged beauty of the area. The spacious 54,000 square-foot lodge is set at the base of the mountain and has been called "the most beautiful lodge in the world" by a writer for Powder Magazine.
Lift System
Marble Mountain's Governor's Express is the only high-speed detachable quad lift in Atlantic Canada. It's one of four lifts that will carry you up the slopes and the line ups are usually short, which means you'll spend less time on the lifts and more time on the mountain.
